Day One Hundred and Eleven

7.30am Cup of Tea

Its the Royal Wedding today, so the union jack theme comes out :)






9.00am Breakfast
2 sausages with relish and JD sauce









14.00pm Lunch
Cup of tea







And a chicken breast salad. This was in a Fish & Chip restaurant in Cromer, Norfolk. Everyone else had something and chips!







19.00pm Dinner
Indian, a duck dish with cheesey spinach and onion bhaji

Day One Hundred and Ten

8.30am Breakfast
4 sausages with relish and Jack Daniels sauce with 2 cups of tea.

4 pints of Bulmers and a Bacardi and diet coke at the local pub

Lunch 14.00pm
Supreme chicken with salad. It was meant to come with dauphine potatoes and mixed veg, but I asked to have it with salad instead.



I am definitely avoiding bad carbs today as I had a White roll yesterday for breakfast and had to run to the loo this morning! :/ I remember having those sort of issues last time I came off the low carb diet, my stools weren't solid for a good few weeks!


19.00pm Dinner
BBQ food feast!!

Burger with lettuce.


2 sausages and lettuce.


2 ribs and lettuce.


Bacardi and diet coke.



I also had chicken and lettuce but didn't take a photo of that.

Day One Hundred and Nine

Next few posts will not be very detailed due to camping trip

8.00am Mug of White Tea

Naughty and had bacon and fried egg in a white soft roll for breakfast as we had stopped at a burger van on route to camping and every option came with bread.

15.00pm Vodka and diet coke



It was my friend's birthday so we had a quick alcoholic beverage after pitching our tents.
 

19.00pm Bottle of Magners




19.30pm Dinner

Homemade chilli with nachos in a pub in Holt, Norfolk. Not sure on carb content here, the nachos were probably full of flour though.




I had quite a few bottles of Magners at the pub we found :)

Day One Hundred and Eight

Well, I got my tent so I am all set for camping tomorrow! Got a load of Royal Wedding decorations too :) I will try my best to keep the blog updated but I will have mostly bbq food while camping I should imagine! I'll make sure I buy bags of lettuce so I don't have bread!

I have asked the question of what food I should start introducing into my diet to try and maintain my weight on http://www.lowcarbsite.com/forum.php but I haven't had any responses yet. I might try Special K in the mornings instead of yoghurt, and I'm sure someone told me that potatoes don't have a huge effect

A good way to do this is to introduce one food at a time... starting with fruit, soft cheeses or a whole grain. Potato is probably one of the worst choices. Save those for much later. Sugars/sweets are in that category, too. Add ONE serving of 5 to 10 carbs to what you've been eating for weight loss. Do that for a week or two. See what happens to your weight. If you lose more, add another 5 to 10g carb the next week. Work your way up, carefully and consciously adding healthy carbs. When you hit a week where you gain, cut back by 5g the following week. See if that maintains you.



I might go back to having an apple as a snack then! But I was still losing weight doing that!

I have dropped my cat off at my parent's house for the weekend, she seemed to settle in quite quickly this time :) Just having a cuppa as I'm half way through packing, just got my clothes to pack now as I have packed all the camping bits, sleeping bag etc.

Day One Hundred and Seven

6.30am Breakfast
Natural yoghurt and a mug of Green Tea.

Weigh day again! I wonder if the sliver of yorkshire pudding and copious amounts of Bacardi and diet coke has had an effect on me!! :/ Plus I haven't really exercised this week!



I am collecting my tent from my local Tesco after work, it had better have been delivered to the store!

12.30pm Lunch

Garlic sausage and cheese salad. The lettuce was a bit droopy, so I didn't eat it all and had a pepperami.


I did about 10 minutes on the Wii Fit, then weighed myself. Didn't get home til late again due to collecting my tent and picking up the cat's diet food.



Anyway, weigh-in result is.... I lost 2lbs!! That means that I have reached my target weight now!!!! :D The beginning of the graph doesn't fit on the screen properly now, but you can see that my current weight is well into the yellow 'average' area.






A closer image so you can see better. I have also set a new goal of losing another 4lbs so that I have space to put on weight on my holidays ;)

I have lost 22cm from my waist now! Thats over 8 & 1/2 inches!


I thought I'd treat myself to some of that low carb ice cream I made, but I had a few mouthfuls and didn't want anymore, I might throw it all away, its not all that really lol

Day One Hundred and Six

9.45am Breakfast
Grilled garlic sausage with cheddar cheese. This might seem like an odd meal, I used to LOVE cheese and garlic sausage on toast so I thought I would try it without the toast and it was delicious!! With a mug of Green Tea of course.


I have just updated Saturday and Sunday's blogs as I hadn't written much on them as they were posted from my iPhone. Bit more text written on them now :)

Right, its time for a shower now as I am off to catch some more rays and have a walk to bluebell woods and a pub lunch with the family! I heart Easter :)

Turkey, beef, salad, pickled onions, cheese.


I didn't have a lot to eat today as you can see, its weigh day tomorrow! :/

Day One Hundred and Five

12.00pm Breakfast
Natural yoghurt with a pint of water (dehydrated!!! lol)

14.00pm Lunch
Ham, pork, celery, tomatoes and 2 types of cheese while sunbathing in my parent's garden :) and a pint of diet coke.







19.00pm Dinner
Roast turkey, roast beef, brussel sprouts, runner beans, cabbage and a small piece of yorkshire pudding (only 13g of carbs in a yorkshire! Figured I hadn't had many carbs so it would be okay). I didn't eat everything on this plate as I got quite full up, so my brother finished off the meat and veg for me! :)





I have had about 4 mugs of Green Tea today too.


It was nice to see all my friends last night as they hadn't seen me in a while and were all commenting on how well I had done on my diet! :) I had one friend say to me as she sat down next to me "Steph, you look A-mazing!!!!" - Bless her :) It makes it all seem worth while when people notice how much I have lost!

Day One Hundred and Four

8.30am Breakfast
Natural yoghurt, a cheese string and a mug of Green Tea.

13.00pm Lunch Bacon, 2 fried eggs, a few mushrooms and half a tin of plummed tomatoes :)




Today is St George's day in England, so I am off out to the pub with my friends, sticking to Bacardi and diet cokes.


I lost count of how many Bacardi and diet cokes that I did have, but I had a kebab at the end of the night, without eating the pitta bread as always :)

Day One Hundred and Three

6.30am Mug of White Tea


Its Good Friday today so I am not at work, but my replacement tent is due to be delivered between 7am and 7pm, so I got up early in case the delivery was at 7am! It is now 8.45am and no tent yet :( I could have had an extra hour or so in bed! My stomach is starting to rumble now so I might do some bacon and eggs!


I would also like to announce that I became an auntie yesterday for the first time when my niece Lydia was born :D She arrived at 11.49am (Swiss time) and weighed 3.51kg, which is about 7.7lbs :) and is 49cm long (Not sure if they say height when they can't stand yet? lol) She is very beautiful! I have seen some ugly babies, and she is definitely not one of them :)

Bacon and scrambled eggs with a mug of White Tea.





Its now 13.30pm, still no sign of my tent and it is too hot in my flat to be doing any exercises! moan, moan, moan! I want to be out in the sun getting a tan!!! :(


So, I got impatient waiting and wondered if I could get a better idea of the delivery time if I phoned them up. I spoke to some young lad who told me almost immediately that they aren't doing any deliveries today! I was got quite annoyed and asked him why one of his colleagues had told me the previous day that a new tent would be delivered between 7am and 7pm, he said that there was nothing on his system about my conversation with his colleague and tent poles don't just snap! (Er, yes they do!! As mine flaming did!!) He said his manager wouldn't give me a refund, so I asked to speak to him but he was busy and would phone me back. I decided to drive to my parent's to enjoy what little sun was left and received a call on route from a lady from Tesco Direct with regards to my emails I had sent Tesco Direct during the week (she had no idea of my earlier conversation, so I didn't mention it to her). She said that she could have one sent out to me on Tuesday so that I would have it in time for the 28th, as I will be at work all day Tuesday and can't wait in from 7am to 7pm she said she could have a tent delivered to my local Tesco on Tuesday and I can collect it from there after 4pm. Just hope it does get delivered there! I have a confirmation email this time, so fingers crossed!! :)

I had a bit of chicken with basil and tomato coating as well because it wasn't cooked when I got my first plate.

I have done a 15 minute jog! I know its not as much as I normally do but I was still wearing my strapless bikini top from when I was sunbathing earlier and my flat is still pretty warm so I sweated up enough just doing 15 minutes! phew!

I have FINALLY sorted out my tent! Good job too as I go camping a week today!! Not sure if I will have lost 2lbs before camping, like I had hoped as I haven't done as much exercising as I'd hoped to do this week due to having lots to sort out after work! Taking the tent poles back tonight, so another 40 minute drive to Harlow as I'll go straight from work, but at least I get my replacement tent delivered tomorrow between 7am and 7pm. No lay in on my day off tomorrow then!

Day One Hundred and One

I forgot to do my measurements last night after I weighed, so I will do them tonight! Off to the camping shop this evening to see if I can get 2 new poles for my tent! If I can't, I will have to purchase a new one! :/

I have just re-read the text in the header of my blog and I am actually a size 12 now, and the bridesmaid dress does fit! I just want to reach my initial target, only 2lbs to go now... But, as I said in an earlier post, the dress fits without a bra, so I might lose a few more than my target weight so that I am able to wear a bra with the dress :)

Day One Hundred

6.30am Breakfast

Well, its WEIGH DAY today and its Day 100!!


Not sure how I've done, I've been pretty good food wise and only had one glass of Pimms at the weekend, which should have been about 14g carbs.

I always worry on weigh day! I am feeling a bit bloated today, but its only 8.24am so have plenty of time before I need to weigh myself later! Got my Pet Insurance cheque from Tesco at the weekend, so I can put that into the bank later. It will go back onto my credit card though as that is my payment method for any vet fees, so I won't see any of it! :( I don't get paid next Thursday, the same day I go camping so I may have to borrow a bit of the cheque money to celebrate St George's Day this weekend! (I did get £148 from the insurance!)

I did about 40 minutes of my Wii Fit today, including 30 minutes of Wii jogging! - Still trying to keep that up every day :)

I had a few pork scratchings after my dinner and my stomach feels all greasy now so I threw the rest of the tub away!! Lol feel bleugh now too :(

Day Ninety Nine

I will do my monthly photo when I get home tonight, not sure if you will notice much of a change? Although there is about a 7lb difference, so there should be a noticeable change! :)

OMG I am on day 99!! That means tomorrow I will have been following Low Carb for 100 days!!! :-o Everyone keeps asking what I will do when I have reached my target and what I plan to do is slowly introduce carbs back into my diet. Maybe starting with potatoes, fruit, cereal? I'll try and avoid bread, pasta and rice to start with!

Weigh Day tomorrow!! Pressure is on to lose 2lb this week I think! And then another 2lb the following week, so I am at target before I go camping!! ;D I am expecting to put on a lb or 2 over the camping weekend, due to excess drinking! HA! Plenty of time to lose it again in time for the wedding though! SO glad that I am close to target now though, there are still 102 days until the wedding! So, in theory I could lose another 2 stone in that time if I wanted to! But I don't want to be a stick thin rake, so I won't!! lol

There is a 7lb difference between the March and April photos, and an 8lb difference between the other months. Check out the neckline on my t-shirt it looks so much baggier this month! When I was exercising in these clothes, the tshirt kept slipping off my shoulder where it is so baggy now lol! I like this tshirt too :(


The second photo shows month one and today (click to enlarge):




There is a 1 stone 9lb difference between these two photos and 11cm lost from around the waist, 10cm from around the chest, 5cm around the arms and 7cm from the hips! I have lost more than this in total, as I started the diet on 11th Jan, I lost quite a bit in 6 days! :)


I forgot that I took this pic at the weekend, I couldn't get a very good angle on the measuring tape though, so apologies!! :)




Thats my Pear Rattler t-shirt, it used to be tight and its a bit baggy now :( My belly doesn't stick out that much, its just where the t-shirt hung! Excuse the socks drying on the storage heater!! LOL


I might take another side on pic in a tighter t-shirt to show my belly doesn't stick out so much any more! haha

Day Ninety Six

So, the bridesmaid dress... it actually fits like a dream without wearing a bra, but I am thinking that I might need some support, so if I lose the extra 4lbs I already plan to lose, that my allow room for a bra?! The dress is gorgeous and very flattering!! I LOVE it! :) Happy happy happy!!! :D I'm not allowed to tell anyone about the dress as I have been sworn to secrecy! You will all just have to wait until I post photos after the wedding!! :P

I'm pretty hungry so might get a kebab again tonight, I'll go for the mixed one instead of the special as its a bit cheaper. My car will need in the near future: 4 new tyres, 2 new number plates as well as the exhaust and brakes looking at!!! But at least they all weren't bad enough to make it fail on those points as well as the wipers, indicator bulbs and ceasing seatbelt that it did fail on. All sorted for a total of £256.80...
