Going to limit posts!! :(

Hello Low Carb blog readers!


I am afraid I will be limiting my blog posts to maybe once a week, on weigh day (Friday) as I am struggling to find time to blog every day with work and my uni course and also knitting for my niece's 1st birthday. I had fallen behind on my Uni reading but have nearly caught up now. I plan to do some reading every morning when I get into work so I need to stop blogging first thing! LOL


If you are wondering what I mean by Uni reading then I am doing an Open University course and we are supplied with text books and online reading material to teach us about the subject of My Digital Life :)


You can still see what I eat daily from the link to my food diary on the top right of the blog.


I have actually lost just over a stone so far this year (since 6th January!) :D - YAY ME!!!

Monday tummy pains!

My stomach is still bad from throwing up yesterday! I am so out of practice with the drinking malarky :(

I only had an evening meal at Prezzo yesterday as I had thrown up my breakfast and lunch!

Tenth Weigh Day and END of 30DS!

I'm actually feeling quite slim today ready for my 30DS results and WEIGH DAY!!

I still need my Friday poo though! haha! :D

I didn't get my poo, but had good results all the same:


Actual result was -1.5lbs

I reset my goal on my Wii Fit so that it is when my BMI hits 22 :) 5lbs to go!

Last Day of 30DS

Last day of Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred today!!

I will post my results tomorrow, and am really hoping there is a big change!! :/

I have my bigger trousers on today so am having a feeling slim day :D

One more day...

Until my 30 Day Shred ends its 30 days!! Tomorrow is the 30th day!!

I might start again from Level 1 and keep doing each level in turn until I find the exercises easier to do! :/

I hope I have lost more inches by tomorrow but with the amount of food I had at Curry Club last night I am not hopeful! lol!! I might wait until Friday to do all of the measuring etc as that is my normal weigh day and I don't want to weigh a day early and at a time different to my normal weigh in!

Back on track!

Right. I am feeling human again today so will work my butt off doing Jillian later to make up for yesterday's poor effort. I couldn't do a lot of the jumping about as I could feel some water I had drank bouncing around in my delicate belly and it was making me feel ill! I did the planks etc though!

This dinner is so yum! Stuffing is carby but still under 40g a day :D

Sunday and hungover


Not sure how I am hungover as I threw most of the cider up! lol

Yoghurt for brekkie then I fancied some form of low carb stodge so I went for 2 beef burgers with mushrooms and tomatoes and cheese slices. Did the job! :)




Dinner was roast turkey with stuffing and broccoli! Got the same again for Monday I reckon!

Beer Festival...

Bacon and mushroom omelette for Breakfast.





Then I receive an invite to the local beer and cider festival so have 1/4 of the pizza for lunch.





I didn't log all the cider I drank as I threw most of it up! (Take it my body didn't like the mixture of cider?!) I drank water for the rest of the night! Then I had the other 1/4 of the pizza when I got in! :) I will definitely make that pizza again! YUMMMMM

Nineth Weigh Day

ANOTHER Weigh Day!!


I'm not sure what to expect again today! Where I have increased my calories and carbs, I have been feeling more full up, but I felt like that last week and I lost 2lbs :) I am hoping for some kind of loss as I have still been doing 30 Day Shred every day and keeping under my calories...

I had a mixed berry protein shake for breakfast :)




I only lost 0.7lbs this week! wonder if its the protein shakes, or the Mexican on Tuesday?

Lunch: cheese and sandwich pickle salad:




I made the Low Carb pizza :) It was as yummy as it looks :)





I tried a bit of stuffed crust too, but it could have done with more mozzarella!




I only had half (so filling) so I have half for another day :)

Feeling sleepy!

Friday tomorrow which means Weigh Day again!

I tried adding fruit to my protein shake last night and it tasted much nicer! :) Lots of carbs though so I will put less fruit in it next time. :)

I brought a size 10... and it FITS! :D

So I popped to Primark after work yesterday (cheap clothing shop) and thought I'd get a pair of size 10 joggers as my 12s are a bit loose! Obviously being elasticated I went for the joggers as my first size 10 as there would be more chance of them fitting. They are tighter around the legs than my other joggers, but the others in size 12 are quite baggy around the legs so I guess it depends on the fit of them! I had also figured they could be my new target trousers if they didn't fit me :)


I also went down a size in bra, mainly because they didn't have my normal size in stock lol I kept the same cup size but went for a chest size down and I have the 4 boob look going on but the chest size is fine, so I might need to go up a cup size?

NOT me but this is what I mean!*

* If your breasts are spilling out of the cups, that does not look sexy, that is a  sign that the cup is too small. Under a tight T-shirt, it gives the effect of quadruple boobs. The line of the breast should be smooth in the right size bra.


I also tried a protein shake yesterday! Just 2 scoops of my Natural HEMP protein powder and 250ml water with 1/2tsp Splenda and I can safely say it was gross! Not so much the taste but the bitty texture! I might try one with some frozen berries and yoghurt tonight!

Dinner: Mince lamb with onions and mushrooms and cheese slices.

Chiquitos for Lunch today

We are off to a Mexican for lunch today! Have been studying the menu and have decided on:

Mushrooms con Queso
Baked with garlic, cheese & anchochilli-tomato sauce. Served with oven-baked flatbread

Southwest Chicken Caesar Salad
With mixed leaves, carrot, cherry tomatoes, cucumber & radish. Served with your choice of dressing: ranch, classic Caesar or Mexican citrus

Obviously I will leave the flatbread (bad carbs) But that is my best option as everything else came with tortilla wraps, rice or chips!!

It is also Day 1 of Level 3 on the 30 Day Shred today so I need to take a photo and some measurements tonight! My trousers feel looser around the thighs as well as the belly now, so fingers crossed for some good results! :)

It is also the 6th today so I need to do a monthly photo for my blog too! I'll need to do 2 outfit changes! The 30DS photos are in a sports crop top type thingy, I am going to blur my head out when I put them on MFP LOL I don't want people to see my BELLY lol

So.... here are this month's photos... I have a waist!!! OMG! LOL

Last Day of 30DS Level 2

It is the last Day of 30 Day Shred Level 2 today! Which means that Level 3 starts tomorrow! I do hope that there aren't so many plank moves! I don't mind the tummy crunches when you are lying on your back, its just the planks really hurt my shoulders! - Although they have got easy as the Level has progressed! (Never thought I'd say that!!)

Found a few more smoothie recipes:

Protein Shake – 4g carbs 
2 fl oz /60 ml cream 
4 fl oz / 125 ml water 
1 scoop of vanilla whey protein powder, (or chocolate, banana, strawberry etc)
3-4 ice cubes


Tropical Smoothie – 9.5g carbs 
4 fl oz /125ml Coconut milk
4 oz /110g frozen berries (strawberries, raspberries etc)
1 tsp Splenda (if required)
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder


Berry Fizz Shake – 8g carbs 
4 fl oz /125ml Sparkling water
4 oz /110g frozen berries
1 fl oz /30ml cream
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder


Almond Smoothie - 4g carbs 
4 fl oz /125 ml water
2 fl oz /60 ml cream
1 tsp (or more to taste) almond extract
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder


Peanut Butter Smoothie – 6g carbs 
2 fl oz /60 ml cream
4 fl oz /125ml water
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
1 tbsp sugar free peanut butter


Mocha Shake – 5g carbs 
1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder
2 fl oz /60 ml cream
1 tsp instant coffee (dissolved in 1 tbsp boiling water)
1 tsp Splenda
4 fl oz /125 ml water
3-4 ice cubes


Low-Carb Frappuccino – 4.5g carbs 
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
2 fl oz /60 ml cream
1 tsp Splenda
4 fl oz / 125 ml espresso coffee, or other strong coffee (made up and chilled)
3-4 ice cubes

Busy weekend

I had my Day School for Open University on Saturday and here is my dinner! The day went so quickly!! I got back from uni, did 30DS had a little rest then cooked dinner!




Sunday's lunch! The same as Friday's lunch!




Dinner: Mince beef with onions, mushrooms, lettuce and cheese slice




I baked some peanut butter bread from the recipe that I posted the other day and it is delicious!! :) Quite calorific but low in carbs!




Saturday - Total carbs: 26g, net calories: 1113, calories burnt: 375
Sunday - Total carbs: 31g, net calories: 1149, calories burnt: 271

Eighth Weigh Day...

I say it every week but these weigh days do come round extremely fast! Not sure if I have lost weight but I feel like I have lost measurement-wise!

I did have a big poo yesterday too! I seem to have been more regular since I stopped taking my fibre supplements which is a bit bazaar!

So, the weigh in result was unexpectedly good! I think where I am eating more calories I don't feel as light when it comes round to weigh day even though I seem to be losing still! :)

It actually worked out at 2.2lbs lost :) I am just 0.17 away from the 22's on my BMI now :D


Lunch: Piri piri chicken sandwich filler with salad


Dinner: Pay day treat! Mixed kebab and I diet coke!

Even looser!

The title of this post is about my UK size 12 work trousers (the bigger pair for those of you that read the last post about my work trousers). I can't believe how loose they have got!! I MUST have lost more weight/inches than for my brother's wedding now! I think I need to dig a belt out for next time I wear these trousers!

I was tempted to purchase some UK size 10 joggers that were in an online sale for £4 but I was browsing the site on my phone and decided I'd have a proper look on my laptop after I'd eaten my dinner and by that time they were no longer available! :( Might check in Primark? (cheap cheap UK shop) I only have one pair of HUGE size 12 cropped joggers that are a nightmare when doing 30 DS as I have to keep hitching them up and more normal size 12s are okay, but they do need washing every now and then! lol

My HRM actually isn't broken after all! I had just read the vo2max calculator wrong so I was about 30 out on my vo2max which is why is said I wasn't burning as many calories!
